- The promise
- If you do four Money Dates in your first 30 days and the two of you still don’t feel more on the same page about money, we refund every dollar you paid. You don’t have to argue the case or prove anything.
- The ask
- Four Money Dates. A Money Date is a completed weekly check-in with both of you present. Roughly twenty minutes. The desk builds the agenda from your real week, so the work is showing up, not preparing.
- The clock
- Your 30 days starts the day you join. Both seats are live from that moment. How much your partner uses theirs is up to your household and has no bearing on the guarantee.
- The exception
- A coaching session that a real human already delivered is the one thing we can’t refund. That professional did the work and got paid for it. Everything else comes back.
- Why no trial
- Because money on the table changes how couples show up. Free trials fill with people who never invite their partner and never build the habit. You carry no risk here. You just start with something at stake.

How proration works. Every Merger membership is annual, so a refund after day 30 is straightforward: we refund your unused months at the annual monthly rate, not at the higher standalone monthly rate. Cancel in month four and you get eight months back, calculated the generous way. We are not going to claw back your annual discount on the way out the door. Coaching sessions already delivered are deducted at $125 each, because a real person did that work and has already been paid for it.

A hard refund button doesn’t stop refunds. It turns them into chargebacks and bad stories. Ours is easy on purpose.

Settings, then Billing, then Request refund. It’s a normal menu item, not something we hid three screens deep.
- 02Tell us what didn’t work
One question, free text, no dropdown of guilt-trip options. Kameron reads these himself, and they’re the reason the product gets better.
- 03Money back
Requests inside your window are approved automatically. Five to ten business days to land on your card, which is your bank’s timeline, not ours.
One of you runs the money. Both of you can see it.
In most households, one person is the one who actually opens the app. Sometimes that’s the one who likes spreadsheets, sometimes it’s the one earning the income, and sometimes it’s just whoever ended up doing it. That is completely normal and it is not a problem we’re trying to fix.
The second seat is not a chore we’re assigning to your partner. It’s a window. They get their own login and their own view of every balance, every goal, every transaction, and every decision, without needing your password and without having to ask. They can be in it every day or glance at it once a quarter. Either way, nothing is hidden between you, which was the entire point.
And the guarantee doesn’t care which of you tapped the buttons. Four Money Dates in 30 days means the two of you sat down together four times. Twenty minutes at your kitchen table, however that works in your house.

Single income? Two incomes? Neither changes anything here. One membership, two seats, one shared picture. We price the household, not the paychecks inside it.
The handful of limits, stated plainly.
Every guarantee has edges. Here are ours, in the same size type as everything else on this page.
- One refund per household. The guarantee is a genuine offer, not a recurring one. It’s keyed to your household, not to an email address.
- Delivered coaching sessions are never refunded. Deducted at $125 each. The professional did the work.
- Rewards are voided on refund. If you already redeemed something real, we absorb small balances rather than chase you for them.
- Charity donations are never clawed back. That money already went to Family Promise, Operation HOPE, or Wounded Warrior Project. It stays with them.
- Promo signups are fully covered. We refund the amount you actually paid, not a list price you never paid.
- After a refund, rejoining is at full price for twelve months. The guarantee is for people deciding, not for cycling discounts.
